What do you do when you combine a great TV with Internet access? You have the Vizio VF552XVT. The VF552XVT LCD TV not only offers consumers a large 55-inch screen, full 1920×1080 (1080p) native pixel resolution, 240Hz smooth motion processing, LED backlighting with local dimming, but this set also features network/internet connectivity, via Ethernet port or WiFi, which allows access to a host of internet content that Vizio calls Internet Apps. Also, video performance of the VF552XVT won’t disappoint either. The black levels and color consistency are very good, and the set also has more than enough connections, including 5 HDMI inputs. In addition, for those that are concerned about energy efficiency in such a large screen set, the VF552XVT is energy efficient with an average power consumption of about 150 watts.

Personally I think this is a fabulous idea. Our life is being made easier because of devices that are more capable of solving problems and answering questions. Not only I think that apps on your tv will help kids lear instead of sitting in front of the TV rotting their brains out.
